In this highly advanced world we live in, majority of the population probably own an iPhone. iPhones have arguably been a frontrunner when it comes to smart phones. When it comes to iPhones, there are two classifications for its users. There are "power users" and "casual users". Power users are those who know all the features inside and out and constantly use their phone. Casual users are self explanatory, they use their phone mainly for entertainment and on a regular basis. For those who fall under the casual category, there are actually a lot of things you can do with your iPhone other than the usual apps. Here are some tips on how to get the most out of your iPhone.
The first and probably one of the more overlooked features that the iPhone has is the ability to shut down, force quit, and reset. Shutting down or turning off your iPhone sounds pretty basic but not everyone knows this. As surprising as it sounds, there are still a lot of people who don't know how to turn off their iPhone or are confused with the locking and shutting down. You can turn off your phone by simply holding the lock button. When it is in locked mode, it is simply using minimal power, it does not completely turn off. Force quit comes in handy when an app freezes on your screen, forcing it to quit closes the app so that you can try it again or do something else. This is done by holding down the home button more than 6 seconds. If that still won't work, you can go ahead and reset by holding down the home and lock buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds. This restarts or reboots your handheld device so that you can start fresh.
Other features that not a lot of people know are simply done through your screen. For instance, when you would like to delete something simply swipe your finger across that item and a confirmation message will pop out. This is done to hasten the time to delete items. You can also control text in different ways. One way is done through capitalization. You can do Caps Lock by holding down the shift button on your screen and it will turn blue, this signifies that Caps Lock has been enabled. Lastly, you can add special characters to your text by holding down a particular letter. This will then show different variations of that letter.
Your iPhone has a lot of features waiting to be discovered. These are some of the things people might not know which you can easily make use of. They might sound simple but it can come in handy. You might even get to use these tips to solve common problems rather than having an iPhone repair. The same principles applies to Macs, before having a Mac repair you must see if you can troubleshoot the basic errors. Make sure to utilize your iPhone to its potential and get the most out of it.
